As homelessness rates continue to rise throughout the Bay Area, communities are expanding their efforts to address some of the larger issues that impact homelessness on a number of different levels. Many communities are enhancing coordination, collaboration, and communication across sectors and with the general public. They are building movements to address racial equity and inclusion, as well as engage more directly in policy and advocacy efforts. A number of communities are devoting significant resources to building leadership opportunities for people with lived expertise of homelessness.
